A lip flip is one of the smallest, most natural injectable treatments we offer at The Confidence Lab.
No Filler Needed
It does not use filler. Instead, a few units of a neuromodulator, the same class of product as Botox, are placed along the border of your upper lip. That relaxes the muscle just enough that the lip rolls slightly outward and shows more of its pink edge. If your top lip tends to vanish when you smile, a lip flip brings it back into view.

Your upper lip is shaped in part by the orbicularis oris, the ring of muscle around your mouth.

When that muscle contracts, it can curl the top lip down and inward, hiding the pink border, especially in a full smile.
How the Flip Happens
A lip flip places a small dose of neuromodulator at specific points along the upper lip line. The product temporarily reduces that muscle’s pull, so the lip relaxes and the edge rolls slightly outward. Nothing is added to the lip itself, which is why the effect is subtle and reversible as the product wears off.

Before
Your provider reviews your goals, looks at how your top lip moves when you smile, and confirms a lip flip (not filler) is the right fit. No prep is needed, though you can ask for topical numbing cream.
During
A fine needle places 4 to 8 units of neuromodulator at points along the upper lip border. Most clients describe a few quick pinches. The whole appointment takes only a few minutes.
After
Stay upright for 4 hours and avoid rubbing the area. Skip strenuous exercise, alcohol, and heavy heat for 24 hours. There is no real downtime, so you can head straight back to your day.

When Will I See Results?
Lip flip results build gradually over about two weeks. Here is the onset and longevity timeline most clients can expect after treatment.

Tips for Best Results
A lip flip enhances shape, not volume. If you want a noticeably plumper lip, ask about the Mini Lip Combo or filler instead.
For an event, schedule your lip flip at least 2 weeks ahead so the effect is fully settled.
Avoid pursing your lips hard or drinking through a straw for the first few days while the product settles.
Because results last 6 to 10 weeks, plan a touch-up every 2 to 3 months to keep the look consistent.
Tell your provider if you sing, play a wind instrument, or rely on precise lip control; dosing can be adjusted.
Start conservative. At $75 you can always add a touch more at your next visit, but you cannot remove product once placed.
