We exfoliate the outermost layer, the stratum corneum, through enzymes, gentle mechanical action, or water-based hydro methods. Before
Arrive with a clean face (no makeup if possible). Avoid retinol products for 48 hours before chemical peel facials. Discontinue exfoliating acids 3 days prior to any advanced facial. Stay hydrated. If you have active cold sores, reschedule your appointment. No sunburned skin.
During
Your aesthetician begins with a skin analysis to customize the treatment. Expect cleansing, exfoliation, extractions (if needed), treatment application, and a mask phase. Salmon DNA includes the polynucleotide application. Most facials take 45 to 75 minutes depending on complexity. Communicate pressure preferences during extractions.
After
Apply SPF 30+ before leaving (we provide it). Avoid direct sun for 24 hours. Skip active ingredients (retinol, AHAs, BHAs) for 48 hours post-treatment. No heavy exercise or steam for 12 hours. Use gentle cleanser and moisturizer for the first 2 days. Chemical peel facials may produce mild flaking days 3 to 5, which is normal.
